Former doctors had told me that I would need a pacemaker and should not over-exert myself in sports or physical activity. So for most of my life, I have always been in fear of my heart exploding by doing something over-active.
Today, I had my first appointment in about 3 years with a heart specialist. Not only was he a specialist, but he specializes in my exact condition, so even better.
After all the testing and questioning, he flat up tells me that I have no reason to limit myself physically, and that he sees nothing wrong with my heart as of now. He even went as far to tell me that I do not even need to see a specialist, and that my only concern should be preventing heart infection.
It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I feel almost fearless. It's kind of weird.
My mother, god bless her, came all the way up from Florida to go to the appointment, and it was nice as always to see her. I wish she had stayed longer today, but it was fun while she was here.
I paid my security, first, and last months rent, less than a week left in South Philly, craziness.
