Post Nineteen: TnJ

Stupid people, editing stuff...according to an article on silly Yahoo! the British t.v gurus are editing old CLASSIC cartoons of smoking. Its appalling to think that they are changing cartoons that was made in some cases 40 to 50 years ago.

The cartoons include Tom And Jerry, The Flinstones, and Scooby Doo, and possibly the rest of the famous Hannah Barbara line-up.

quoted: "Turner recognizes that it is not suitable for cartoons aimed at children to portray smoking in a cool context and has additionally pledged to review the entire Hanna-Barbara catalog to remove scenes that appear to glamorous or encourage smoking," Cecilia Persson, a Turner VP, said in a statement."

Disney atleast released all its scandalous cartoons on DVD, with a pre-show warning, telling of the times when the cartoons were produced, they did not edit them. This is crap, these cartoons are art. And I wish they would be respected for what they are. They represent a different time, and a different social era. It's history, it's art, it's a piece of a time long gone.

In other news: It's Official. I got the house! I move in next week.
